It’s been 10 days since San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom last appeared in public to, you know, speak. It was Oct. 30, and he was talking about the oil spill. He famously dropped out of the governor’s race that afternoon, jetted to Hawaii without telling his staff and hasn’t breathed a word in public since. Well, hardly any words.
