Gov. Linda Lingle vetoed S.B. 1808 because it would callously undo recently enacted administrative rules that bring long sought reform to Hawaii’s workers’ compensation system. Yesterday, the majority party in the Hawaii State Legislature overrode that veto saying the bill is bad for workers.
