U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Awards Contract for Architect-engineer Services for the Design of Future Headquarters of the U.S. Army Pacific

(FORT SHAFTER, HAWAII) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District recently awarded a contract for Architect-Engineer services for the Design of Fiscal Year 11 through Fiscal Year 15 projects, phases one through four of the Command and Control Facility Complex (Future U.S. Army Pacific Headquarters, Fort Shafter, Oahu) to AECOM Services, Inc. dba AECOM Design of Roanoke, Va., for $21,526,998.

“This is exciting news for the United States Pacific Command and the entire Army from Alaska to Japan. We look forward to the ground breaking for the Army’s premier command and control headquarters in the Pacific. This command and control facility will enable us to exercise our responsibilities across the Pacific Region including additional responsibilities supporting the United States alliance with South Korea,” said Commanding General, U. S. Army Pacific, Lt. Gen. Benjamin R. Mixon.
